Dr. Mayce Kachi-George
General Dentist
Dr. Mayce Kachi-George was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq and attended dental school at the University of Baghdad, before moving to the United States to continue her education. She is a 2003 graduate from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School.
Upon graduation from Dental School, Dr. Kachi-George was the recipient of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Horace Wells Award for outstanding achievement in the field of Dental Anesthesiology, and had also received the Francis B. Vedder Society for Crown and Bridge Award. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Oakland County Dental Society.
Dr. Georgie or Dr. G. (as her patients call her) enjoys practicing dentistry and is dedicated to her profession, with a special love for pediatric dentistry. She is passionate about her patients, and thinks of them as family.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kachi-George loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She loves reading, and has a passion for music. She has been a part of a church choir for the past 20 years. She is fluent in Arabic and speaks Chaldean as well.
Dr. Furat M. George
Prosthodontist
Dr. Furat George received his dental degree from the University of Baghdad in 1998 and his prosthodontics specialty training from the University of Michigan in 2007. His practice is limited to prosthodontics and dental implants and is currently the director of dental implant education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry - DDS program. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, Academy of Osseointegration, International and American Associations for Dental Research and a fellow of the International Congress for Oral Implantologists. His research interests are in the field of dental ceramics and the utilization of CAD/CAM technology in dentistry and research and has multiple published articles and abstracts in scientific journals and meetings. He serves as a reviewer on multiple scientific journals.
Outside of dentistry, he plays the piano at church and enjoys golfing. He is fluent in Arabic and Aramaic.
